VISA CLASSIC credit card is used to pay for goods and services and withdraw cash in Serbia and abroad, at locations displaying the VISA logo.
Postal Savings Bank has provided the VISA CLASSIC cardholders with the option to pay for services of domestic companies in 10 equal monthly installments with deferred payment of the first installment and a minimum payment amount of RSD 2,000.00.
VISA CLASSIC is an international card with revolving credit. The main feature of the revolving credit is its renewal through the repayment of monthly installments and/or early repayment of the debt. By paying off the monthly installment and/or early repayment of the VISA CLASSIC credit card debt, the amount of available funds within the approved credit limit that can be used again increases.
The Bank issues the VISA CLASSIC credit card with six credit limits. Amount of the approved credit limit depends on the client's request and his/her creditworthiness. Each credit limit corresponds to a certain fixed monthly installment:
The system of fixed monthly installments allows the user to plan the repayment of VISA CLASSIC credit card debt more easily. Knowing the amount of the total debt and the amount of the fixed monthly installment, the user can easily determine how many months it will take him/her to pay off his/her total obligations.
For example: If the user is granted a credit limit in the amount of RSD 120,000 with a corresponding fixed monthly installment of RSD 6,000 and if the total debt of the user is RSD 42,000, by simply dividing the total debt by the monthly installment, the user can conclude that he/she will repay his/her total liabilities in seven months. Of course, this example is valid under the assumption that the user pays his/her obligations on a regular basis and does not increase the total credit card debt.
The fixed monthly installment, if it is less than the amount of funds spent, is the minimum amount that the user is obliged to repay monthly for the VISA CLASSIC credit card debt. The monthly installment is increased by interest and possible commissions and charges arising from issuing or using the card, which represents the client's monthly obligation due every 15th of the month. If the card debt is less than the fixed monthly installment, the total debt becomes a monthly installment, which, of course, is not fixed.
The monthly obligation (installment + interest + commissions/fees) is paid exclusively in RSD by debiting the current account or by payment made in RSD to the card account, regardless of the location where the transaction was made.
An application for the issuance and use of a VISA CLASSIC credit payment card can be submitted by a client who holds a current account with Postal Savings Bank, joint stock company into which monthly salary or pension is regularly paid.
In addition to the primary card, the client can request the issuance of additional cards (up to two additional cards) for authorized users.
Application form should be filled out (employment information must be certified by the company) and signed by the primary and any authorized users. A photocopy of a personal identification document is attached to the signed Application for each signatory.
The card is collected in person at the counter of the branch specified by the user in the Application. At the time of collecting the card, the client submits one signed blank solo promissory note, signs the Agreement on Issuance and Use of the VISA CLASSIC credit card and Overview of the essential elements of the credit and collects the PIN number for that card.
In order to pay for goods and services and withdraw cash, it is necessary to have sufficient funds available within the approved credit limit (for cash withdrawal transactions, it is also necessary to have sufficient funds available within the approved credit for the fee which is calculated according to the Tariff of Fees for services provided by the Bank). Otherwise, it is not possible to perform the transaction.
VISA credit card is equipped with a chip, which means that it is based on the most modern technological solutions and provides the highest level of protection against unauthorized use.
The card is delivered with a PIN, which is a personal identification number that identifies the card user when withdrawing cash and paying at locations that require entering a PIN. When performing transactions on devices that do not support PIN entry, identification is done by providing a handwritten signature on the bill/slip. Exceptionally, some devices, such as toll collection devices, may not require entering a PIN or signing a slip.
The card user can make an early repayment of debt in full or in part at the counters of Postal Savings Bank, PE Post of Serbia or other banks by depositing RSD funds to the Bank's account. The Bank does not charge a fee for early debt repayment.
