Google Pay™ enables more simple and safe contactless payment with Mastercard and VISA payment cards issued by Postal Savings Bank.

The Google Pay functionality is available to the cardholders of VISA dinar debit cards, VISA foreign currency debit cards, VISA Classic credit cards, VISA business cards, Mastercard® Plus cards, Debit Mastercard contactless payment cards, Mastercard Plus credit cards and Mastercard debit business cards.

Pay with your payment card on Android mobile devices and enjoy the advantages of contactless payments.

Add your payment card to the Google Wallet app and make safe payments in the stores supporting contactless payments, as well as on the Internet and within the applications supporting Google Pay service.

You can make payments everywhere where the contactless payment symbol or Google Pay symbol is displayed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
What are preconditions for using the Google Pay functionality?

You should have the following:

  • An active Mastercard and/or VISA payment card for which the Google Pay functionality is enabled;
  • A mobile phone number registered with the Bank;
  • A mobile device lock set up with one of the methods enabled on the device – password, pattern, fingerprint, face scanning;
  • A NFC-enabled device with installed Android operating system with the minimum version 5.0 (Lollipop);
  • A Google account set up on your device.
How to install the Wallet app on your mobile device and add a payment card?
  • Download the Google Wallet app from Google Play Store, free of charge, and install it on your Android mobile device;
  • Add your payment card to the Wallet app for the Google Pay functionality by entering the card number, expiry date of the card, CVC code (a three-digit number written on the back of the card, i.e. signature strip), and your personal data;
  • After you register yourself and accept the Terms and Conditions for using the Google Pay functionality, you will receive one-off verification code on the mobile phone number registered with the Bank that you should enter in the field envisaged for entering;

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Enter your verification code, that you received through SMS on the mobile phone number registered with the Bank when your payment card was digitalized, ONLY in original Wallet app and do not disclose it to other persons.

  • You have a possibility to add several cards to the Wallet app. The first card you add becomes a primary payment card. You can subsequently set up and change the card that will be the primary one;
  • For safety reasons you will not be able to use your card either abroad or on international websites three days after it was digitalized.
How does Google Pay function?

Google Pay uses the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology on Android mobile devices where it is supported. The NFC technology enables wireless transfer of data at short distances between two devices.

In order to be able to make transactions with a digitalized payment card, you should activate NFC on your Android mobile device.

When you want to make payments at POS, you should unlock your mobile device with one of the methods enabled on it (password, pattern, fingerprint, face scanning) and lean it on the POS device.

Digitalized cards can be used also for the withdrawal of cash at the ATMs that have contactless readers. You should make your first contactless transaction with your physical payment card, and then lean your Android mobile device on a contactless reader and follow the instructions on the ATM screen. In order to execute transactions, you should enter the PIN of the related physical payment card that you selected in the Google Wallet app.

Mandatory safety measures

For safety reasons, you are obliged to handle your mobile device with due care and to take measures to protect and keep personalized safety elements stored in the digital wallet confidential.

For safety reasons, you undertake:

  • Not to add your cards to the digital wallet contained in the Android mobile device of other user;
  • Not to use safety settings (password, secret number, default pattern etc.) on your mobile device to which you added or plan to add a relevant payment card of the Bank for access to (unlocking) your mobile device in such manner that other people can find them out;
  • Not to make available safety settings (password, secret number, default pattern, etc.) chosen for the access to (unlocking) your mobile device, to which you added or plan to add the relevant payment card, to other people;
  • Not to allow other people to have access to your mobile device by taking care of your biometric data (fingerprint, face scanning, etc.)

If you suspect that other people know the safety settings (password, secret number, default pattern, etc.) for having access to your mobile device that has the digitalized card, you must replace them without delay.

Can the same payment card be entered into the Google Wallet app on several Android mobile devices?

You can enter your payment card into the Google Wallet app on several Android mobile devices.

What is the fee for this functionality?

The Bank does not charge any fee for the Google Pay functionality.

What is the limit on the payment card that is entered into the Google Wallet app?

The digitalized payment card that is entered into the Google Wallet app uses the same limit that is assigned to the related physical payment card.

What is going on with the digitalized payment card registered for the Google Pay functionality if the related physical payment card is blocked?

Blockade of the physical payment card results in an automatic blockade of the digitalized card registered for Google Pay, whereas blockade of the digitalized card does not result in blockade of the related physical payment card.

What measures should be taken if the Android mobile device to which payment cards have been added within the Google Wallet app is lost, stolen or misused?

If your Android mobile device is lost, stolen or misused, you are obliged to call immediately the phone number indicated on the back of the physical payment card, i.e. the following phone number +381 11 20 20 292 and to inform the Bank thereof.

What should you take if your physical payment card is to be replaced?

If the Bank, for any reason, replaced the payment card that you registered for the Google Pay functionality, you should add the new payment card to the Google Wallet app.
