Association of Pensioners

The Mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Šapić, opened the First Belgrade Olympics of Sport and Recreation for Pensioners on 6 September and on that occasion he said that the city of Belgrade will do everything to make it as peaceful and safe as possible for our oldest citizens, with numerous activities and gatherings.

As part of the Olympics, in which about 250 pensioners participated, teams competed in five disciplines: relay speed walking, football, basketball, darts and chess. Representatives of the Association of Pensioners of Postal Savings Bank also took part.

After a year and a half, we spend time together, enjoy nature and do some physical activities again.
Third Age Movement in cooperation with the Association of Pensioners of Postal Savings Bank organized a trip to Sremski Karlovci and Petrovaradin including a tour of the Petrovaradin Fortress.
The smiles on our faces and the sparkle in our eyes will convey our mood to you, and that's why we can't wait to be off on new adventures, to explore another city and have fun with our dear colleagues.

On the occasion of marking a significant jubilee - forty years since the founding of the Association of Pensioners of Postal Savings Bank, which was founded on World Savings Day, 31 October 1979, a festive lunch was organized in the House of the Serbian Army restaurant on 01 November 2019 at 13:00.

The traditional meeting, this year also an anniversary meeting, was attended by 376 members of the Association, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Board of Postal Savings Bank, Bojan Kekić, MA, President of the Serbian Association of Pensioners, Prof. Dr. Andreja Savić, President of the Serbian Third Age Movement, Vasilije Belobrković, and President of the Belgrade Third Age Movement "Dorćolijada", Prof. Dusan Maksimović.

Friends and members of the Association were presented with certificates of appreciation and gifts for their contribution and long-term cooperation, and the Chairman of the Executive Board of Postal Savings Bank, Bojan Kekić, MA, announced that in the future, members of the Association of Pensioners will receive a monetary gift along with a birthday card.

Members of the Association of Pensioners of Postal Savings Bank participated in the 12th Third Age Olympiad of Sports, Health and Culture, which took place in Vrnjačka Banja from 29 September to 03 October 2019.
Under the slogan "For an active and creative old age", 1,200 participants competed in seven sports disciplines: relay race, chess, shooting sports, darts, football, basketball and fishing. Educational lectures were held in the field of third age health care. Intergenerational meetings of juniors and seniors were organized in all sports disciplines and as part of joint art and icon painting workshops and literary meetings.

Postal Savings Bank, as a long-standing friend of the Third Age Olympics, prepared special gifts for all awarded participants.
Slobodanka Ceca Ilić, President of the Association of Pensioners of Postal Savings Bank, won a trophy for her contribution to the development of the Serbian Third Age Movement, while Časlav Zlatković won the award for the best painter at the art and icon painting workshop.

Members of the Association of Pensioners of Postal Savings Bank won the first place in the football tournament - shooting penalties at mini goals, at "Dorćolijada", a local third age Olympics-like event involving sports competition, health and cultural events, held on 15 June 2019 at the Dorćol Football Club field in Belgrade.

The competition under the motto "A healthy mind in a healthy body" was organized in five sports disciplines adjusted to the third age: darts, shooting penalties at mini goals, basketball free throw shooting, bocce ball and chess.

The event was also marked by an outdoor public fitness exercise class for seniors and kids, as well as the 20,000-millimeter Children's Marathon called "Grandmas and Grandpas alongside little boys and girls" where all the children were awarded gold medals.

The Association of Pensioners of Postal Savings Bank was founded on the World Savings Day, 31 October 1979. Every year, the Association organizes an annual General Assembly, which is attended by 373 members of the Association, as well as guests from the Republic and City Boards of Pensioners.

Bojan Kekić, MA, Chairman of the Executive Board of Postal Savings Bank, attended the 39th session of the General Assembly of the Association of Bank Pensioners held today, on 30 October 2018, at 13:00 in the Slavija restaurant.
